Case Astronomy co-hosts International Dark Matter Workshop
|
Posted 15-Mar-2009
This Spring, Case Astronomy teamed up with CERCA and the
Department of Physics
to host an international workshop on "Dark Matter in the Milky Way." The workshop
focused on the dark matter problem locally -- its spatial and kinematic distribution
in the Milky Way, and observational and experimental efforts (current and future) to
detect it. We assembled a small group of observers, theorists, and experimentalists
to meet and discuss the outstanding problems in the field.
The workshop was the subject of
an article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and the workshop
program is available online, along with links to many of the presentations. |
